Intake Air System, PCV System, EVAP System Vacuum Line Visual Inspection
Test Procedure
- Procedure

- Check the condition at the connections or for any damage at the following:
Purge (PCS) line
Turbocharger bypass control line
Breather line
PCV valve
PCV hose
Air cleaner
Air Flow Tube
All parts through the turbocharger joint to the throttle body
- Check the condition at the connections or for any damage at the following:
- Normal Conditions

- Conditions at the connections are OK, and there is no damages.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the intake air system, the PCV system, and/or the EVAP System component(s).
MAP Sensor Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good MAP sensor and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the MAP sensor must be faulty.
MAF Sensor/IAT Sensor 1 Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining MAF Sensor/IAT Sensor 1 is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with MAF Sensor/IAT Sensor 1.
