DTC Troubleshooting: P0103(3.0L Engine): Inspection
MAF Sensor Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Test Procedure
DTC check
- Preparation
-
- MAF Sensor/IAT sensor 1 4P connector: disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Jump the MAF Sensor/IAT sensor 1 4P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
- Perform the confirmation procedure.

- Normal Conditions
-
- DTC P0102 is indicated.
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with MAF Sensor/IAT sensor 1.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
VCC6, FGP, VGM Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure

- MAF Sensor/IAT sensor 1 4P connector: disconnected
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

VCC6 Shorted Wire Inspection
NOTICE:

- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- A/C pressure sensor 3P connector: disconnected
- Turbocharger boost sensor 3P connector: disconnected
- EVAP leak check module 8P connector (USA and Canada models): disconnected: disconnected
- Procedure

- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
