Confirmation Procedure

1. Start the engine.

2. Hold the engine speed at 3, 00 rpm without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.Test-drive the vehicle under these conditions:

• HDS [ECT Sensor 1] above 158 deg.F (70 deg.C)
• Transmission in D
• HDS [Engine Speed] between 1, 00 - 3, 00 rpm
• Drive the vehicle at a steady speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) or less for 5 minutes, then drive at a steady speed of 26 mph (41 km/h) or more for at least 9 seconds.

4. Monitor the HDS [OBD STATUS (PGM-FI)] for DTC P0133.
