DTC Troubleshooting: P0453(2.0L Engine): Inspection
FTP Sensor Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Test Procedure
Unit output voltage inspection
- Preparation
-
- -
Canister maintenance lid (with AWD): removed
- -
FTP sensor 3P connector: disconnected
- -
- Procedure
-
- Jump FTP sensor 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Confirm the HDS [FTP Sensor].
| (Disconnected)FTP sensor 3P connectorfemale terminals | |
|
|
- Normal Conditions
-
- -
HDS [FTP Sensor] value is less than 3 kPa
- -
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with the FTP sensor.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
PTANK, SG6 Open Wire Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
-
- -
Canister maintenance lid (with AWD): removed
- -
FTP sensor 3P connector: disconnected
- -
PCM connector A (50P): disconnected
- -
PCM connector E (80P): disconnected
- -
- Procedure
-
- -
Perform the inspection according to the following table.
- -
| (Disconnected)FTP sensor 3P connectorfemale terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector A (50P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| PTANK open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
| (Disconnected)FTP sensor 3P connectorfemale terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector E (80P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| SG6 open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
