DTC Troubleshooting: P055D(3.0L Engine): Inspection

Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Sensor Inspection 

Test Procedure 

Unit output voltage inspection

• Preparation
• • Rocker arm oil pressure sensor 3P connector: disconnected

• Procedure
• • Jump the rocker arm oil pressure sensor 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Confirm the HDS [(Rocker Arm) Oil Pressure Sensor (B) Voltage].

• Normal Conditions
• • USA and Canada models: HDS [(Rocker Arm) Oil Pressure Sensor (B) Voltage] value is less than 4.81 V  .
  • Mexico models: HDS [(Rocker Arm) Oil Pressure Sensor (B) Voltage] value is less than 4.87 V  .

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the rocker arm oil pressure sensor.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

POILCS, SG11 Open Wire Inspection 

NOTICE: 

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• • Rocker arm oil pressure sensor 3P connector: disconnected
  • PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
• Procedure
• • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

	POILCS open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	SG11 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
