FUEL_PUMP_RLY_OUT Circuit Inspection
Test Procedure
- Preparation

- Fuel pump driver unit connector B (3P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.

Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.NOTE: If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.
FPC, GND Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Fuel Pump Component Inspection
Preconditions
NOTE:
This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.
- External circuit is normal

Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the fuel tank unit.
Fuel Tank Unit Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good fuel tank unit and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, fuel tank unit must be faulty.
Fuel Pump Driver Unit Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good fuel pump driver unit and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, fuel pump driver unit must be faulty.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
