DTC Troubleshooting: P2073 (2.0L Engine): Inspection
Vacuum Line Visual Inspection
Test Procedure
- Procedure
-
- Check for vacuum leaks at these parts:
Intake air duct
Intake manifold
PCV valve
PCV hose
Purge (PCS) hose
EVAP canister purge valve
Throttle body
All parts through the turbocharger joint to the throttle body.
- Check for vacuum leaks at these parts:
- Normal Conditions
-
- There is no leaks.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the intake air system, PCV system and/or the EVAP system component (s).
MAP Sensor Functional Inspection (1)
Preconditions
- Intake air system, PCV system, vacuum line visual inspection is normal
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Confirm the HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)] and HDS [TC Boost Pressure].
- Normal Conditions
-
- HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)] and HDS [TC Boost Pressure] value differ less than 26.7 kPa (7.9 inHg, 200 mmHg)
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the MAP sensor.
MAP Sensor Functional Inspection (2)
Preconditions
- Intake air system, PCV system, vacuum line visual inspection is normal
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- Note the value of MAP Sensor (Hi Res) in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
- Start the engine and let it idle.
- Confirm the HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)].
- Normal Conditions
-
- HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)] changes more than 0.67 kPa (0.2 inHg, 5 mmHg)
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the MAP sensor.
