APP Sensor Inspection

NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure (Step 1)


		(Disconnected)APP sensor 6P connectorfemale terminals

Unit output voltage inspection	ON		About 5.0 V

Test Procedure (Step 2)

Procedure
- Jump APP sensor 6P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3 with a jumper wire.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Confirm the HDS [APP Sensor B Voltage].

Results

VCC5, APS2, SG5 Circuit Inspection

NOTICE:

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure

APS2 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
VCC5 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
SG5 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
NOTE: Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
APS2 shorted to ground inspection	OFF			Not shorted

PCM Inspection

Test Procedure

If the other inspection item (s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
