DTC Troubleshooting: P2199 (3.0L Engine): Inspection

Connector Visual Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
• • Check the connectors for a secure connection or for loose terminals at the following components:

    IAT Sensor 2

    MAF Sensor/IAT Sensor 1

    ECT sensor 1

    ECT sensor 2

• Normal Conditions
• • Conditions at the connections and terminals are OK.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the connections or terminals.

IAT Sensor 2 Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• • IAT sensor 2: removed and cooled to the ambient temperature

• Procedure

• Note the ambient temperature.
• Connect the IAT sensor 2 2P connector, but do not install IAT sensor 2.
• Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
• Confirm the HDS [IAT Sensor (2)].

• Normal Conditions
• • HDS [IAT Sensor (2)] is almost the same as the ambient temperature.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with IAT sensor 2.
