IP Open Wire Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
-
- A/F sensor (Sensor 1) 6P connector: disconnected
- PCM connector E (80P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
| (Disconnected)A/F sensor (Sensor 1) 6P connectorfemale terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector E (80P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs (3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2.0L Engine) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|

| IP open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Preconditions
NOTE:
This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.
- External circuit is normal
Test Procedure
- Preparation
-
- A/F sensor (Sensor 1) 6P connector: disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the confirmation procedure.
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
| (Disconnected)A/F sensor (Sensor 1) 6P connectorfemale terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| Unit output voltage inspection | ON*1 | About 0.2 V or more |
*1: Engine running
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the PCM.
A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item (s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining A/F sensor (Sensor 1) is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the A/F sensor (Sensor 1).
