DTC Troubleshooting: P2402 (3.0L Engine): Inspection
IGPS_PCS, VMOTOR Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
-
- EVAP leak check module 8P connector: disconnected
- Power distribution module connector A (18P): disconnected
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
| (Disconnected) EVAP leak check module 8P connector female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
Normal Conditions |
| IGPS_PCS, VMOTOR shorted wire to wire inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MOhm | ||
| VMOTOR shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | ||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
EVAP Leak Check Module Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good EVAP leak check module and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the EVAP leak check module must be faulty.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item (s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
