Door Glass Adjustment: Adjustment

How to use this service information .

NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

NOTE:

Check the door weatherstrip and the glass run channel for damage or deterioration, and replace them if necessary.

  1. Door Glass - Adjust

    Preconditions

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Carefully lower the glass (a) until you can see the glass mounting bolts (b), then loosen them. (Figure 1 and 2)2. Push the glass against the glass run channel (c). (Figure 1 and 2)3. Tighten each bolt to the specified torque.

    4. Check that the glass moves smoothly.

    5. Raise the glass fully, and check for gaps. Also make sure that the glass (d) contacts the glass run channel (e) evenly. (Figure 3)

    After Adjustment 

    1. Reset the power window control unit .

    2. Check for water leaks. Run water over the roof and on the sealing area as shown, and note these items:

    • The hose inside diameter (f). (Figure 4)
    • Adjust the rate of water flow as shown (g). (Figure 4)
    • Hold the hose away (h) from the door. (Figure 4)
    • Do not use a nozzle.
