Confirmation Procedure

1. Start the engine.

2. Hold the engine speed at 3, 000 rpm without load (CVT in P or N, M/T in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle at least 20 seconds.Check for these conditions in the DATA LIST with the HDS.

• HDS [ECT Sensor 1] above 158 deg.F (70 deg.C)
• HDS [IAT Sensor (1)] above 32 deg.F (0 deg.C)
• HDS [Vehicle Speed] is 0 mph (0 km/h)
• HDS [AF FB (ST Fuel Trim)] between 0.75 and 1.47
• HDS [FSS] is CLOSED

4. Monitor the HDS [OBD STATUS (PGM-FI)] for DTC P0506.
