Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Inspection

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure 

Unit output voltage inspection

• Preparation
• • -

    Engine oil pressure sensor connector (3P): disconnected

• Procedure
• • Jump the engine oil pressure sensor connector (3P) terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Confirm the HDS [Rocker Arm Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor Voltage].

(Disconnected) Engine oil pressure sensor connector (3P) female terminals

• Normal Conditions
• • -

    HDS [Rocker Arm Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor Voltage] value is less than 4.79 V  .

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the engine oil pressure sensor.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
