Shift Position Indicator Inspection

NOTE:

Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure

Transmission range switch signal inspection

Preparation
- -
  Shift position indicator connector (12P): disconnected.
Procedure
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Compare the transmission range switch signal inputs with the HDS.

Normal Conditions
- -
  Shift position/mode and transmission range switch signal match.

Results

If it is normal, there is a problem with the shift position indicator.
If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
