Fuel System - Check Delivery Pressure
- Open the fuse box lid in the engine compartment and remove fuse F21 (20 A) from the electric fuel pump.
- Start-up several times until all the pressure in the fuel distribution manifold has discharged.
- Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Disconnect the quick coupling for the fuel supply pipe and connect the connector pipe (1870885001).
Tool Name Function 1.870.885.000 Connector pipe kit Fuel supply pressure check - Connect the connector pipe (1870885001) to the fuel distribution manifold.
Tool Name Function 1.870.885.000 Connector pipe kit Fuel supply pressure check - Connect kit EX07 to the connecting pipes fitted earlier, complete with the suitable pressure gauge.
Tool Name Function 1.806.338.000 Transducer Examiner test kit 2 Cylinder compression test - Refit the previously removed fuel electric pump supply fuse in its housing.
- Turn ignition key to MAR-ON and check within 3 seconds that fuel pressure on the pressure gauge is within the prescribed values.
- Start the engine, let it warm up and check that the pressure is within the prescribed values.

- Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
