Front Fuel Delivery Line

REMOVAL 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the engine bellypan. Refer to BELLY PAN, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Undo the fixing screws (1a) and remove the panel-oddments pocket (1b).

  4. Adjust the quick coupling and disconnect the front fuel supply pipe, submerged pump side.

  5. Release the front fuel supply pipe from the retaining clips.

  6. Adjust the quick coupling and separate the front/rear sections of the front fuel supply pipe.
  7. Remove the front fuel supply pipe from its housing.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Check that the pipe is not damaged. Otherwise, replace it with a new one supplied by the Spare Parts Dept.
  2. Reposition the front fuel supply pipe in its housing.
  3. Engage the front fuel supply pipe with the retaining clips.
  4. Adjust the quick coupling and connect the front fuel supply pipe to the submerged pump.

  5. Extrude a strip of sealant along the perimeter of the panel-oddments pocket, in the area shown in the figure.
  6. Reposition the panel-oddments pocket in its housing and tighten the fixing screws.
  7. Install the engine bellypan. Refer to BELLY PAN, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Remove the vehicle from the hoist.
