Keyless Go

The Keyless Go function is used to start the engine without needing to insert a mechanical key in the ignition switch. The vehicle does not have a typical ignition switch. The switch function is performed by a Start/Stop Engine button on the steering wheel.

There must be at least one valid Fobik in the passenger compartment for the Radio Frequency Hub Module (RFH) to be detected by the passive entry antennas in order to start the engine. The Keyless Go function is always present regardless of the passive entry function.

The Start/Stop Engine button is electrically connected to the RFH. The button status signal is received by the RFH by means of two wires on which analogue type voltage signals are transmitted.

Two wires ensure signal redundancy for safety reasons. If either wire should create an open circuit, the RFH will keep receiving the signal of the other wire which is still intact.

The Start/Stop Engine button is fixed to the steering wheel by means of two screws.
