Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
- CHECK THE ABS CONTROL MODULE WIRING CONTINUITY
- Check the correct continuity of the wiring between the ABS Control Module and the Powertrain Control Module.
Does the wiring have continuity?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Restore the correct continuity for the wiring.
- Check the correct continuity of the wiring between the ABS Control Module and the Powertrain Control Module.
- CHECK THE ABS CONTROL MODULE WIRING FOR A SHORT TO BATTERY
- Check the correct insulation of the wiring between Battery and the ABS Control Module.
Was the wiring shorted to Battery?
Yes
- Restore the correct insulation for the wiring.
No
- Go To 4
- Check the correct insulation of the wiring between Battery and the ABS Control Module.
- CHECK THE ABS CONTROL MODULE FOR DTCs
- With the Scan Tool, check for DTCs in the ABS Control Module.
Are there any active DTCs?
Yes
- Continue as instructed by the Scan Tool.
No
- End of diagnosis.
- With the Scan Tool, check for DTCs in the ABS Control Module.
