2.9L Left

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air inlet intake hose to gain access to the left cylinder head ignition coils. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the left cylinder head ignition coils.
4. Remove the ignition coil retaining screw (2a).
5. Remove the ignition coil (2b) from the left cylinder head.

INSTALLATION 

1. Inspect the ignition coil for damage.

2. Position the left cylinder head ignition coil (1) to the appropriate housing and tighten the retaining screw (1b) to the proper specification.. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
3. Connect the wiring harness connector (2) to the ignition coil.
4. Install the air inlet intake hose on the left cylinder head. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
