Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Center the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the diver air bag. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) and (1b) if equipped.
  5. Remove the cover (2a) of the steering wheel mounting nut.

  6. Remove and DISCARD  the steering wheel mounting nut (1a).
  7. Disengage the steering wheel (2a) from the steering shaft.
  8. Disconnect the driver air bag wire harness connector (3a) and remove steering wheel (2a).
