Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Open the retaining clip (1a) and release the degassing pipe (1b).
  4. Disconnect the electrical connection for the intake air pressure/temperature sensor.

  5. Undo the fixing screws (1a) and place throttle body air inlet pipe (1c) to one side.

  6. Detach the electrical connection for the throttle body.
  7. Undo the screws (2a) and remove throttle body (2b).
  8. Remove the intake chamber gasket.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Fit a new gasket onto the intake chamber.
  2. Reposition the throttle body (1a) in its housing and tighten the fixing screws (1b).

    Throttle body Screw M6 0.8 ÷ 1.0
  3. Connect the electrical connection for the throttle casing.
  4. Connect the air inlet pipe to the throttle body and tighten the fixing screws.
  5. Secure the degassing pipe and close the retaining clip.
  6. Connect the electrical connection for the intake air pressure/temperature sensor.
  7. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the negative battery terminal.
    NOTE:

    If the throttle body is replaced, connect diagnosis equipment to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), go to the "Actuators" function and launch the "throttle body activation self-learning" procedure.
