Removal And Installation
REMOVAL
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Open the retaining clip (1a) and release the degassing pipe (1b).
- Disconnect the electrical connection for the intake air pressure/temperature sensor.
- Undo the fixing screws (1a) and place throttle body air inlet pipe (1c) to one side.
- Detach the electrical connection for the throttle body.
- Undo the screws (2a) and remove throttle body (2b).
- Remove the intake chamber gasket.
INSTALLATION
- Fit a new gasket onto the intake chamber.
- Reposition the throttle body (1a) in its housing and tighten the fixing screws (1b).
Component Fixing Ø Value (daNm) Throttle body Screw M6 0.8 ÷ 1.0 - Connect the electrical connection for the throttle casing.
- Connect the air inlet pipe to the throttle body and tighten the fixing screws.
- Secure the degassing pipe and close the retaining clip.
- Connect the electrical connection for the intake air pressure/temperature sensor.
- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery terminal.NOTE:
If the throttle body is replaced, connect diagnosis equipment to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), go to the "Actuators" function and launch the "throttle body activation self-learning" procedure.
