Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the turbocharger air intake tube. Refer to TUBE, INTAKE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Drain the high temperature cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM .

4. Remove the coolant temperature control valve to cylinder head quick connection (1).

5. Remove the coolant temperature control valve to water pump quick connection (1).

6. Disconnect the wire harness connection (1) from the coolant temperature control valve.

7. Remove the screws (1a) from the coolant temperature control valve (1b) to the mounting bracket.

8. Remove the coolant temperature control valve from the mounting bracket (1a) and separate the radiator supply pipe quick connection (1b).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the coolant temperature control valve.
2. Install the radiator supply pipe quick connection and secure to the bracket with the screws.
3. Connect the wire harness connection to the coolant temperature control valve.
4. Install the coolant temperature control valve to water pump quick connection.
5. Install the coolant temperature control valve to cylinder head quick connection.
6. Install the turbocharger air intake tube. Refer to TUBE, INTAKE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Fill the high temperature cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM .
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
