Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Check that the fuel pump control module is not damaged.
  2. Position the fuel pump control module in place on the vehicle.
  3. Install the fuel pump control module mounting bolt and securely tighten.
  4. Position the ground strap and instal the retaining nut and tighten securely.
  5. Connect the fuel pump control module wire harness connector.
  6. Connect the heated fuel filter wire harness connector.
  7. Install the rear belly pans. Refer to BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
    NOTE:

    If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available). This will confirm that the module is updated to the latest applicable software level.

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
