Front Power Socket

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the power outlet cover (1a).

3. Engage the special tool 2000040319 (1a) in the opposing recesses (1b) on the power outlet, then carefully extract the power outlet (1c). During the removal of the power outlet (1c), its ridges (1d) must slide in the housing (1e).
4. Disconnect the electrical connection (2a) for the power outlet.
5. Keep the power outlet (1c).

6. If necessary, remove the ring nut (1a) after releasing its side retainers (1b) with the special tool 1823015000, and remove the locating ridge (2a) disengaging it from its seat.

INSTALLATION 

1. Check that the power outlet seat is not damaged.
2. If the ring nut was removed, engage the locating ridge in its seat, then insert the ring nut and engage its side retainers.
3. Connect the electrical connection for the power outlet.
4. Insert the power outlet into its seat by sliding its ridges into position.
5. Install the power outlet cover.
6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
