Evaporative Emissions System: Description

The Audi Fuel Evaporation Emission Control System is designed to prevent fuel vapors from being emitted into the atmosphere. The basic components of the system are; a non-vented fuel tank filler cap, fuel tank, expansion tank, an activated carbon canister, and a series of vent lines connecting the various components to the carburetor air cleaner.
