Final Drive

  1. When checking final drive, remove fill plug on side of assembly and note fluid level. It should be even with bottom of plug hole.
  2. If fluid level in final drive is higher than filler plug, it indicates ATF has possibly entered the final drive. If too low, hypoid oil in final drive must be changed.
