Knock Sensor 1 (Front G61)

Check the following:

1. Between brown sensor harness connector terminal No. 1 and test box socket 11 (signal wire).
2. Between brown sensor harness connector terminal No. 2 and test box socket 30 (sensor ground connection to ECM).
3. Between brown sensor harness connector terminal No. 3 and test box socket 19 (shielding on ground).
NOTE: Only use gold plated terminals when repairing terminals in the knock sensor connectors.
4. If necessary repair open and/or short circuit in wiring between the respective sensor harness connector and the ECM harness connector terminals No. 11, 30, 19. If a DTC code is displayed for the respective knock sensor even if the wiring connection is Okay. Replace knock sensor.
