Locking Cable: Notes
WARNING:
Vehicle is equipped with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. When servicing vehicle, use care to avoid accidental air bag deployment. SIR system-related components are located in various locations throughout interior and exterior of vehicle, depending on application. Do not use electrical test equipment on or near these circuits. If necessary, deactivate SIR system before servicing components. See appropriate AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
CAUTION:
Radio/cassette or radio/CD player is equipped with an anti-theft protection circuit. Whenever battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft mode. When battery is reconnected, radio will display CODE, and will be inoperative until proper code number is entered. Obtain security code before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle.
NOTE:
Ensure locking cable is not kinked during installation.
NOTE:
Vehicles may be equipped with a Tiptronic shift mechanism. Selector lever may be shifted from "D" position to Tiptronic gate. This gate allows selector lever to be shifted forward (upshift) or backward (downshift) during vehicle operation.
