DTC P1570/17978: Testing

DTC P1570/17978 indicates need for adaptation of anti-theft/immobilizer to ECM. Use scan tool to perform adaptation of immobilizer to ECM. Also see, appropriate anti-theft article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If problem is found, repair as necessary. After repair, use scan tool to clear DTCs and generate a ECM readiness code. See FUNCTION 05 - CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and READINESS CODE  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Test drive vehicle. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DTC does not reset, testing is complete.
