Transmission Control Module, Replacing

NOTE:

Country-specific laws make adaptation of the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to the vehicle necessary. This "writing" function is not possible with the generic scan tool, therefore it is necessary to use the VAS5052 in On Board Diagnostic (OBD) function for this purpose.

Procedure for replacing Transmission Control Module: → 38 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - GEARS, HYDRAULIC CONTROLS for 6 SPD. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 09E ALL WHEEL DRIVE or 38 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - GEARS, HYDRAULIC CONTROLS for 6 SPD. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 09L ALL WHEEL DRIVE

Final Procedures

After connecting connections to control module, the following steps must be carried out in the order described:

Retrieve DTC memory Mode 3: Check DTC memory.
If necessary, erase DTC memory Mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data.
If DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code.

End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
