Selector Mechanism Overview
NOTE:
Coat the bearings and the sliding surfaces with polycarbamide grease G 052 142 A2.

- For selector lever cable to transmission selector lever

- For the selector lever cable to the cable mounting bracket
- Selector Mechanism Function Unit
- Refer to SELECTOR LEVER EMERGENCY RELEASE FROM P POSITION, WITH SELECTOR LEVER BOOT, ACTIVATING
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM FUNCTION UNIT
- With integrated circuit board for selector mechanism (selector lever -E313-), do not touch this
- With integrated selector lever sensor system control module -J587- with selector lever -E313-, tipronic switch -F189-, selector lever park position lock switch -F319- and shift lock solenoid -N110-, do not touch these
- Check the vehicle through the Guided Fault Finding refer to vehicle tester.
- With integrated selector lever sensor system control module with selector lever, tipronic switch, selector lever park position lock switch and shift lock solenoid can only be replaced with the mechanism function of the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM FUNCTION UNIT
- Selector lever cable can only be replaced with the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM FUNCTION UNIT
- Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECK AND ADJUST IF NECESSARY
- Do not lubricate the selector lever cable
