Power steering system, bleeding

Depending on how extensive conversion procedures were on steering system different bleeding procedures must be done on steering system.

Following replacement of the entire steering system or replacement of steering gear: 

The pump must not draw in any air, steering wheel must not be moved under any circumstances in the process.

Waiting interval between individual engine starts approx. 30 sec.

Any air remaining in steering system escapes automatically while driving after approx. 10 to 20 km (6 - 12 miles).

For conversion of one steering system component except steering gear (pump, hoses, etc.): 

The pump must not draw in any air, steering wheel must not be moved under any circumstances in the process.
