Component Location Overview - Display Control Head

  1. A/C Display Control Head
    • There are different versions.
    • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD .
    • Removing and installing. Refer to Climatronic Control Module -J255-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
      NOTE:

      Depending on the Audi A6 e-tron version, the measured value for the Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263- can be evaluated by the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head (as on all other vehicles of this model line) or by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024-. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function and refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.

      If the measured value is evaluated by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- on the Audi A6 e-tron (and is transmitted via the data bus to the Climatronic Control Module -J255-), there is a different version of the Climatronic Control Module -J255- installed. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function and refer to the Parts information.

  2. Front Information Display Control Head -J685-
    • Multi Media Interface (MMI) Display
    • There are different versions.
    • Certain selected functions (and various auxiliary functions for the A/C system) are displayed via the MMI display on the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head. Refer to Infotainment/MMI Operating Instructions.
  3. Multimedia System Control Head -E380-
    • Different version.
    • So that the different A/C system functions can be selected and displayed on the Multi Media Interface (MMI) display, the correct version of the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head must installed, coded, and adapted.
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function
