Overview - Selector Mechanism
WARNING:
There is a risk of injury and accident from accidentally engaging a gear when the engine is running.
- Before work is done with the engine running, move the selector lever into "P" and press the parking brake button to engage the electromechanical parking brake.
- Selector Mechanism Function Unit
- With integrated Selector Lever -E313- with Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -J587-, Selector Lever Park Position Lock Switch -F319- and Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Check using Guided Fault Finding refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
- Selector lever cable can only be replaced with the selector mechanism, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Do not lubricate the selector lever cable
- Emergency Release from P, refer to EMERGENCY RELEASE FROM PARK .
- Gearshift mechanism, removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

- Selector lever cable adjusting screw
- ATF Cooler Bracket
- Must be removed for the removal and installation of the selector lever cable from the transmission, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- ATF Cooler
- Must be removed for the removal and installation of the selector lever cable from the transmission, refer to ATF COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
