Identification Plate With Certification Test Group Code, Checking And Comparing To The Code From The Engine/Motor Control Module

- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
The identification plate is located on the inside of the hood -arrow- at one of the shown locations.
- The identification plate with the Certification Rest Group Code must be present, undamaged and readable.
Reading out the measured value "Certification Test Group/Engine Family Number" from the engine/motor control module:
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Start the test program "read the measured values" and add to the test plan.
-- Display the measured value "Certification Test Group/Engine Family Number" and compare to the code on the identification label -circle-.
If the code from the identification label does not match the code in the control module, or this identification label is not readable, damaged or not present, then order a new identification label via the Parts Information.
