Description & Operation: Introduction

This 5-speed transmission is fully synchronized with constant mesh helical cut gears in forward speeds, and uses non-synchronized helical cut reverse gears. Shifting is accomplished through 3 shift rails and forks. Transmission case is a 3-piece design. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
