Cruise Control Systems: Operation
Pushing control stick away from driver ("CONSTANT" position) and immediately releasing sets present speed. Holding stick in "CONSTANT" position accelerates vehicle speed. Releasing stick sets new speed in memory.
Vehicle speed will be maintained within 1 MPH of set speed until new speed is selected, brake or clutch pedal is depressed, system is turned off, transmission is shifted from "D" to "N", or if actual vehicle speed is 15% less than speed in memory.
Pulling stick to "RESUME" position recalls last speed memorized. Moving stick up or down turns cruise control system off. Memorized speed will not be erased from memory until ignition is turned off.
