Fuel Pump
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove fuel pump relay (in control box at right or left shock tower). Connect a fused jumper wire between fuel pump relay connector terminals No. 6 and 2. Fuel pump should run. Try to start engine. If engine starts, replace fuel pump relay.
- If engine did not start, remove fuel pump cover. Fuel pump cover is located on right side of trunk floor. Disconnect fuel pump connector (Green/Violet and Brown wires).
- Ensure 12 volts are present between Green/Violet and Brown wires. If voltage is not present, check for open in wires from relay connector or ground wire. If voltage is available and pump does not run, fuel pump may be faulty.
- If fuel pump operates, check fuel filter and fuel lines. Repair or replace as required. Disconnect jumper wire and install fuel pump relay.
