Section 12 (Air Bag Restraint System): Identification

All models equipped with Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) can be identified by the SRS-AIRBAG label provided on inside of glove box door and the SRS warning light mounted in instrument cluster light bar or check control indicator panel. Models equipped with SRS can also be identified by the number "1" in the eighth position of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The words SRS-AIRBAG may be embossed on the steering wheel hub pad and/or on passenger side instrument panel trim.
