Active Check Control

When ignition is turned on, the CHECK light in the instrument cluster should flash. At the same time, all active check control indicators and brake warning light should light up.

If the engine is started and the headlights are on, malfunctions may be identified. If brake pedal is pressed, the CHECK light, brake warning light and all active check control indicators should go out if the corresponding systems are in proper working order.

If CHECK light is flashing while driving, a fault exists in monitored systems. Press CHECK button. When CHECK button is pressed, all warning indicators will come on. When button is released, only those indicators indicating a current malfunction will remain on. Service vehicle as soon as possible.
