SUBJECT

Programming of ME7.2 Engine Control Modules with CD 18

SITUATION

Programming of replacement programmable/basic Engine Control Modules with the following part numbers:

P/N 12 14 7 501 290 and P/N 12 14 7 501 662 is not possible with CD 18.0.

CAUSE

These part numbers are not recognized by the programming software of CD 18.0 as valid replacement units.

CORRECTION

If a new control module must be installed a pre-programmed control module as per EPC must be ordered. Programming of replacement programmable/basic units should again be possible with CD 19.0.
