Connector Release Tools
SITUATION
Distribution of the following tools will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your PDC.
"JPT" Connector Release Tool

Insert special tool 610 325 into the relevant housing release slots and depress the locks. Pull the contact from the housing.
"MQS" Connector Release Tool

Cartool PN 610 326
Used to release and remove the "micro standard" and "MQS" connectors.
Insertion Tool

Used to insert 0.64 to 1.2 mm contacts with sealing ring.
Insertion Tool

Used to insert 2.8 to 4.8 mm contacts with sealing ring.
The tip of the insertion tool is shaped to prevent damage to the seal. Place the wire (1) into the tool (2) and insert seal (3) into the connector housing.
Never press the seal into the connector with a sharp tool. Damaged seals must not be used.
"SLK" Connector Release Tool

Used to remove 5.8 mm SLK contacts. Insert the tool into the housing (1) and release the contact.
SECONDARY LOCK RELEASE
Below are 2 examples of removing a connectors secondary lock using tool 610 324. This tool was sent to all centers via the Automatic Tool Shipment Program with kit 83 30 0 495 382 (610 300). Refer to SI B04 08 06 . Refer to the attached for examples of connector release tool applications.
