New V Adapter Test Cables

SITUATION

Distribution of the following cables will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional cables may be purchased through your PDC.

TOOL INFORMATION

6 Pin V adapter test cable P/N 90 88 6 138 030

This cable is used on all vehicles with the M54 engine to test the EDK-Electrical Throttle Valve.

Connection: Separate the EDK electrical connector (2) under the air intake hose (1). Test cable 138 030 plugs into the EDK connector and the harness. Follow the instructions in accordance with the diagnosis program.

This cable is used on the following vehicles:

Z3 (except M vehicles) with DSC MK60 from 9/2000
E46 (except Xi & M vehicles) with DSC MK60 from 9/2000
E46 (except Xi & M vehicles) with ASC MK60 from 9/2001

Used in conjunction with break out box 614 390, test cables 614 412 & 614 413 (SIB 04 14 90 (3114) ) for troubleshooting on vehicles with ASC/DSC MK60. The connectors on this test cable are not coded allowing the test cable to be used on future systems utilizing the same type connector

Z3 Connection Separate the MK60 DSC connector (1) from the DSC unit (2).

Connect cable 345 250 between the harness and the DSC unit connector. Connect the free end of 345 250 to B.O.B. 614 390. Follow the instructions in accordance with the diagnosis program.
