X5 3.0i DME Programming
SITUATION
After installing a new DME, programming is not possible. "Data not available" is displayed.
CAUSE
DIS/MoDiC software
CORRECTION
Manually determine/program the DME using CD23 Update (P23.1)
PROCEDURE
- Install the DME.
- Using the DIS/MoDiC with CD23 Update (P23.1) only, select Programming.
- Select "DME Programming".
- Select "Exchange control unit".
- Select "1. Determine basic control unit"
- "Is faulty control unit installed in the car?" is displayed on the screen. Select "NO".
- Enter the following basic control module number and programmed control module number when prompted:CONTROL MODULE NUMBERS
Vehicle Basic Control Module* Programmed Control Module* E53 w/ M54B30 7509942 7510483 *Programming #'s subject to change with future DIS CD releases. - Follow the directions on the screen to complete the programming.
After programming, align the DME-EWS, clear all adaptations, and clear DME/EGS fault codes.
