Principle of Operation: Monitoring

The DWA monitors the following signals:

• Door and lid signals (trunk lid and hood contact)
• Vehicle interior (USIS)
• Vehicle inclination tilt
• DWA-Bus line leading to emergency siren (SINE)
• Voltage supply for vehicle electrical system (SINE)
• Voltage level at the emergency siren (SINE)
• Battery distribution switch

The DWA continues to evaluate the following vehicle operating states so that it can adapt its sensitivity to increase safety against false alarms.

• Status of independent ventilation (parked car ventilation)
• Position of windows
• Position of sunroof

Open windows, for example, lower the sensitivity of the operating threshold.
