COMPLAINT
Poor brightness and low contrast in Control Display (CD).
Vehicles concerned:
E65/E66
Production period:
from start of series production to production date 09/02.
CAUSE
Processor problem in the CD.
MEASURE
Production solution:
from 09/02, introduction of a new processor for the CD.
Aftersales solution: On a customer complaint basis only:
Vehicles to 09/02:
The modified parts (listed in the EPC from 09/02, PN 65 82 6 929 474) can be retrofitted to vehicles before 09/02.
The software required to make this possible is available on CIPCD V6.1 or later.
Vehicles from 09/02:
In the event of parts replacement, the CD can be programmed/coded from CIP V 6.1 or later.
