Programming with CIP 11
INFORMATION
When programming with CIP 11, please be aware of the following:
- E60/E63/E64: When the RLS (Rain and Light Sensor) is programmed, there is no on-screen prompt that it must be reinitialized. After programming and coding is completed, reinitialize the RLS using DISPlus/GT1 in "Diagnosis" and select Service Functions.
If the RLS is not initialized, the rain sensor will not function.
- E60/E63/E64: When the SZM (Center Console Switch Cluster) is programmed, there is no on-screen prompt that it must be reinitialized. Please refer to SM B32 200 04
for initialization instructions.
If the SZM is not initialized the steering "Comfort exit" feature will not function.
- E60/E63/E64: After programming E60 TCU (Telematics Control Unit), BMW Assist must be reinitialized, and the phone numbers reentered. Please refer to SI B84 14 01 and B84 15 03 .
- E65/E66: The Measures Plan may indicate that NAV V23 must be installed. Until NAV V23 is available, ignore this message and advance to the next step by pressing the "Continue" button.
The above will be corrected with a future CIP version.
