Rear (E36)

NOTE: A change in camber also means a change in toe. This means that camber must be adjusted first.

Replace and tighten down hexagon collar nut. The eccentric washer must be located between the support cams. Tighten collar nut to specification. See E36 under TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
Slacken hexagon collar nut approximately 1/2 turn. See Fig 1. Turn eccentric screw and adjust camber to specification. See E36 under WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS.

CAUTION: If the hexagon collar nut is tightened down more than 10 times during adjustment, it must be replaced. The self-locking effect becomes too slight.

Tighten hexagon collar nut again to specification. See E36 under TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
