SUBJECT

Rear Window Functionality Problems 

SITUATION

One or more of the following situations may be present:

CAUSE

A semiconductor problem within the KBM causes the amperage draw at the rear window motors to be calculated incorrectly.

The KBM interprets this amperage draw as the windows encountering an obstruction, and therefore the anti-trap protection is activated.

PROCEDURE

Replace the KBM with the most recent part per Repair Instruction RA 61 35 125.

Labor operation code 00 00 006 is a main labor operation, if you are using a main labor code for another repair; use the plus code labor operation 00 00 556 instead.

Only one main labor operation can be claimed per repair visit. All other labor operations on the same line or other lines must be claimed using plus code labor operations.

If a control module fails to program correctly, or initialization is required, work through the Measures Plan and/or Final Report. Claim this additional work under the defect code listed in this bulletin, referring to the KSD2 for the labor operation code and labor allowance.
